Design Philosophy

Design is a process that starts with listening & understanding followed by research & inspiration. From the initial meeting the client's goals & needs are defined. We then look for inspiration from the site, the surrounding buildings, and the people in the area.

That starts the process and then the ideas begin to take form either a sketch on paper, shapes on a computer screen or words in a notebook. Then the development begins with functional analysis, material quality, light & shadow, slid & void, volume & plane.

We as architects put it all together into design solutions that work for our clients.
